Modern Slavery Policy
This statement is made pursuant to section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015. It constitutes C&S Motor Groups’ slavery and human trafficking statement for the financial year ending 30th June 2023. This statement covers the activities of Mainstream Fleet Ltd T/S C&S Motor Group and the activities of those who form part of C&S Motor Group’s supply chain for goods and services.
C&S Motor Group aims to identify and mitigate the risk of modern slavery in the following ways (but not limited to):
Investigating and vetting our supply chains policies, contracts, contractors etc.;
Continually auditing and reviewing our practices – checking all employees are paid at least the minimum wage and have the right to work;
By encouraging the reporting of any concerns and protecting whistleblowers;
By having Zero tolerance for slavery and human trafficking.
Our Organisation
C&S is a UK based breakdown recovery services company. We work with the insurance industry, fleet operators and repairers to recover and repair vehicles.
Our staff are largely directly employed and are not in any category which is generally seen to be vulnerable to modern slavery in this country, so our focus is to ensure there are policies and procedures in place for our contractors and suppliers.
Our Supply Chain
C&S is committed to continuously improving its practices to identify and eliminate any slavery and human trafficking in its business and supply chains, and to act ethically and with integrity in all its business relationships.
C&S uses a wide range of suppliers who supply goods for sale, provide services and support our operations.
Due Diligence
As part of our initiative to identify and mitigate risk we have conducted a risk assessment and will review this on an annual basis.
Combatting Slavery and Human Trafficking
Within our business there are relatively few risks in our supply chains or within our business. One of the reasons for this is because we are guided by our overall approach to doing business which requires high standards of honesty and integrity from our team.
Policies
C&S does have policies which aim to minimise the risk of modern slavery in our supply chain. These include:
A Whistleblowing Policy which encourages staff to report concerns including any related to modern slavery/trafficking and child or forced labour.
A Modern Day Slavery Policy which encourages staff to report any specific concerns in relation to modern slavery
Looking Ahead
Over the course of the next financial year we will continue to enhance our procedures to help us identify, prevent and mitigate any risks of modern slavery or human trafficking in relation to new and existing suppliers.
